The short version
The Lottery Pool is a free organizer tool for friends and family who want to run a shared lottery pool together. We help you keep track of who's in, upload ticket photos, and record results. That's it. We never touch your lottery money — all pool payments happen directly between the people in your pool. An optional paid Professional subscription unlocks extra in-app software tools; it's billed by our payment processor and auto-renews until you cancel (see Section 6). Use this app responsibly and at your own risk.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Uatau Empire LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company doing business as "The Lottery Pool" ("The Lottery Pool," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of our website, web app, and mobile apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
The Lottery Pool is an organizational tool — think of it like a shared notepad for your lottery pool. It helps friends and family coordinate who's participating, upload photos of purchased tickets, and keep a record of draw results.
All financial arrangements — buy-ins, splitting winnings, reimbursements — are entirely between the members of your pool. We play no part in those transactions. The only payment we process is the optional Professional subscription described in Section 6, which is a fee for software and is unrelated to any pool.
Lottery tickets are a game of chance. There is no guarantee of winning. Only spend what you can comfortably afford to lose. If you or someone you know is struggling with gambling, free help is available at 1-800-522-4700 (National Problem Gambling Helpline, US).
The Service is offered to residents of the United States. You must be at least 18 years old — or the legal age to participate in lottery games in your state, whichever is higher — to use it. By using the Service, you confirm you meet this requirement, that you are using it for personal, non-commercial purposes, and that lottery participation is legal where you live. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you.

The Lottery Pool is a coordination tool — it is not involved in the money or trust relationship between hosts and members, and it is not a party to your pool. Any disputes between members are strictly between the people involved.
The core app is free. The Lottery Pool Professional ("Pro") is an optional paid subscription that unlocks extra in-app software tools (such as number tools, ticket scanning, and result checking). Pro is a subscription to software only — it does not buy lottery tickets, is not a wager, and is unrelated to any pool buy-ins or winnings.
Automatic renewal — please read
A Pro subscription costs $9.00 per month or $39.95 per year (in U.S. dollars), plus any applicable taxes. It automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, matching the plan you chose) and your payment method is charged the then-current price for another period — and it keeps renewing until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; see "Cancelling" below. There is no free trial.
Authorization.
When you subscribe, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method the subscription fee plus applicable taxes on a recurring basis, automatically, at the start of each billing period, until you cancel.
Cancelling.
You can cancel any time from your account's billing settings (which open a self-serve billing portal). When you cancel, your subscription stays active and you keep Pro features through the end of the period you've already paid for, and it does not renew after that. You don't need to contact us to cancel, but you can always reach support@thelotterypool.net for help.
Refunds.
Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable, and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, or features you didn't use. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we'll look into it.
Price changes.
We may change subscription prices. If a price change would affect your renewals, we'll give you advance notice (by email and/or in the app) before it takes effect, and the new price applies to your next renewal. If you don't agree to a new price, you can cancel before it takes effect.
Failed payments.
If a renewal payment fails, we (through our processor) may retry it. If we can't collect payment, your Pro access may pause or your account may return to the free tier until payment succeeds. Your free-tier access is not affected.
Payment processor.
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your full card number. Purchases and plan management are handled on the web; if you use one of our mobile apps, you may be directed to the web to subscribe or manage your plan. Your use of Stripe is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
Every wall post and ticket photo has a Report button. If you see content that is abusive, harassing, obscene, off-topic, or otherwise violates these terms, report it — the pool's host is notified immediately and can remove it.
We review escalated reports and commit to acting on objectionable content within 24 hours of a valid report. "Acting" may mean removing the content, removing the reporter's or author's access to a pool, or terminating an account for repeat violations.
We also apply a basic profanity filter to posts and ticket captions. The filter is best-effort — please use the Report button for anything it misses.
To escalate a report, or to report content you cannot access via the in-app button, email support@thelotterypool.net with the pool name, a description, and (if possible) a screenshot.
The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by Uatau Empire LLC and protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service under these Terms.
You keep ownership of the content you upload (such as ticket photos and messages). By uploading it, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the Service for you and your pool. You're responsible for the content you upload and confirm you have the right to share it.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do our best to keep the Service running reliably, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results, calculations, or scanned numbers will be accurate. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uatau Empire LLC and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some states don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Uatau Empire LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of others.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the Delete Account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the platform, post fraudulent information, or violate these Terms. If your account is terminated while you have a paid subscription, the refund rules in Section 6 still apply. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as Sections 9–11 and 13) will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing anything, please email support@thelotterypool.net so we can try to resolve the issue informally. If we can't, you agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin, and you consent to their jurisdiction — except where the law of your home state gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We'll update the date at the top when we do, and for material changes — especially ones that affect a paid subscription — we'll give reasonable notice (by email and/or in the app) before they take effect. Continued use after an update means you accept the changes.
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
